All online applications must be completed by 11.59pm on Monday 15 January 2018. All paper applications must be received at the Admissions Team office by 5.00pm on Monday 15 January 2018.

Applications made after this date will not be considered until the second round of allocations on 18 May 2018. In this instance, you cannot apply online and must complete a paper application form.

The Admissions Team will liaise with schools and other authorities to make sure that, where possible, parents receive a single offer for the highest preference school which is able to offer a place.

In-depth information on how places are allocated can be found in the First Steps booklet near the top of this page.

Letters are posted second class on the national offer date of 16 April 2018 to those parents who applied on time by Monday 15 January 2018. Email notifications are also sent out to those who applied online and requested confirmation by email.

Online applications are made via the Citizen Portal, which can be accessed by clicking the button near the top of this page.

Using Citizen Portal, you can submit, view and make amendments to your application. Once offers have been made on 16 April 2018, you will also be able to view it there.

If you are applying to a Voluntary Aided School or Academy for religious reasons, you will need to submit an appropriate Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to the school by the deadline.

You must also submit your application form for a place at the school to the Cambridgeshire County Council School Admissions Team by Monday 15 January 2018 in the normal way.

All admissions to maintained schools, including academies, must be made in accordance with the School Admissions Code, which ensures that all school places are allocated in an open and fair way.

Help with choosing and applying for a school is available to all parents from the Parents School Preference Advisor.

If your child has had extra support, but does not have a Statement of Special Educational Needs / Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), you will need to follow the primary school admissions process. This is also the case if your child is undergoing assessment.

If your child has a Statement of Special Educational Needs / Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), your Casework Officer from the Statutory Assessment Team (SAT) will contact you to explain the application process for your child.

For more information, please view our pages on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (Local Offer).

For all other applications outside of the usual admissions rounds, including admissions from abroad, please see our information on in-year applications.
